Gestalt Training Program

GESTALT TRAINING PROGRAM

This program* which covers the basic concepts and methodology of Getalt Approach is completed in 19 months. The first training module which will take place between October 2021 and May 2022, will cover the basic concepts, and the second training module which will take place between October 2022 and May 2023 will cover the methodology in Gestalt approach. Training is structured in didactic presentations and exercises that are structured in individual, dyad and subgroup levels in service of supporting the integration of the intellectual material into everyday life situations. Participants will be able to follow their development and improvement through the experiential activities. A certificate of attendance will be offered at the completion of the program.

Program content:
First training module: Basic Gestalt concepts
                                    Figure/ground, awareness, needs, polarities, contact, boundaries,
                                    cycle of experience, contact styles, paradoxical theory of change,
                                    roots of Gestalt approach
Second training module: Gestalt Methodology
                                     Theme, awareness experiments, thematic experiments; techniques to
                                     develop awareness: Experiments (body parts, breathing, movement,
                                     projection, dream, metaphor, story, aggression, fantasy work; role
                                     playing, structured behavior); Stages of a Unit of Work (a systematic
                                     work in service of heightening awareness developing contact
                                     boundaries); Use of Self  (gaining awareness with respect to what
                                     data one gathers and how meaning is attributed to it)

Participants: Those aiming personal and professional development.

Duration: 20 months, once a month between October-May period, Saturday, 6 hours
                (16 training days, total of 96 hours)

Time: 10:30am-5:30pm (lunch break is between 1:30pm-2:30pm)
